Hello and welcome to What Would Lisa Eat!

I started What Would Lisa Eat after many years of friends asking me what I ate, what I cooked, and how they, too, could make healthy, uncomplicated, and delicious recipes for themselves and their family.

My love of food started long before I ever picked up a spatula! I began my career as a Classical Archaeologist, specializing in ancient food and wine production, and working as a Sommelier in New York, Nantucket, and Vermont.

In my early 30s, I found myself struggling with fibromyalgia, anxiety, depression, chronic bronchial asthma, as well as addiction (yeah, too much wine!). I shifted gears, rolled up my sleeves, and discovered the kitchen was my new pharmacy.

Today, my kitchen is where a lot of love, laughter, bonding, testing, and failure are all welcome. My kitchen is home (and 100% gluten-free!). I hope you, too, fall in love with cooking – in your own way and at your own pace. The only rule is, there are no rules! 

My style is gluten-free, mostly dairy-free, and flexible for vegans, pescatarians and carnivores.
